Back to School is just around the corner. We are doing our annual back to school collection for Glade Run. There are boxes that are labeled for this collection. They are on the pew outside of the Luther room.

We only have until Sunday, July 26 to collect items. We need to deliver them by August 3, at the latest.

Our POP out event for this month will be this Friday, July 24. There is a free concert at Vinoski Winery, 333 Castle Dr, Belle Vernon, PA 15012. Doors open at 5 pm, and the concert is from 7:00 to 9:45. The band is China Grove, and is a Doobie Brothers cover band. I am planning on arriving around 6 pm to try to get a spot in the shade and possibly get an open picnic table.

2. All coolers and bags will be inspected by security. There is no limit on food that can be brought in, but no beverages, including pop, bottled water or an insulated tumbler with water, is allowed. (I believe they will allow tumblers filled with ice.) They sell a large variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. They will either have a wood-fired pizza place open or a food truck if you want to purchase food.

3. When coming up the driveway to the winery, stay to the right and park in the grassy area. I will be located on that side, close to the picnic tables and the corkscrew sculpture.

4. Bring a lawn chair or something to sit on.
