Our Mission Statement

St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church is a Christian congregation which exists to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ in a ministry of Word and Sacrament. It is the mission of our congregation:

To preach, teach, and demonstrate the Word of God so all who are called by the Holy Spirit may respond in faith;

To engage all who respond to God's call regardless of race and social status;

To establish and nurture our people in the faith through the study of God's Word and the administration of the Sacraments;

To develop and marshal the talents of our members for the work of God's Kingdom;

To build up our community by fostering fellowship and acts of charity.

About St. Andrew Lutheran Church

St. Andrew Lutheran Church was formed in 1910.

The present building was dedicated in 1960.

Membership fluctuates between 175-200 members.

Our church features a Fellowship Hall, Nursery, accommodations for those unable to use stairs, and on-street parking.

Our worship services utilize the Evangelical Lutheran Worship text, published by Augsburg Fortress in 2006.

St. Andrew features weekly Worship services of Word and Communion, as well as special services specific as to time of year. Our Christmas Eve and Easter celebrations are noted for their jubilant expressions in music and Scripture.

St. Andrew members participate in a variety of ways, such as lectors, ushers, Altar Guild, choir, Sunday School teachers, property maintenance, treasurers' assistants, etc.  All this plays an integral part in the function of the Church.
