February 22, 2012 Ash Wednesday Service On Wednesday, February 22, we will celebrate Ash Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. Service of Holy Communion and the Imposition of Ashes.
You Are Special Yes, you are indeed special! Each of us has been created as a unique and wonderfully-made child of God, offering rich, diverse and abundant gifts, abilities and experiences. Each of us has a need to belong and to contribute. God also gives us the ability to be enriched by each other and to share common ground as servants of Jesus Christ. We're called - alongside each other - to pray, study, worship, encourage and serve. Please feel free to come try us out here at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, as we move forward in spreading the Good News of Christ to our world and community.
About Us We, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, in Allentown, know we are a collection of unique people in need of God's grace. We also know how very important it is to get together - as together we learn, worship and serve God and each other. We invite you to "get together" with us!

Our Mission As believers in the triune God of the Bible, and as members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, we are committed to spreading the Word of God through worship, the sacraments and Christian education. As believers is the living Lord, we: - should at all times be willing to step outside our walls and discover and learn how everyone around us lives, learns and deals with family crises and hardship. We acknowledge that we must be risk takers in learning to help one another.
- are called to be good stewards of all that we have been blessed with, acknowledging He is the sole provider for both our physical and spiritual needs. Because we have been blessed, we are called to help provide for God's house and to help those in need with our time, talents and resources.
- are strengthened to be faithful people of God, who find ways to fulfill His call to us and to diligently partake of God's Holy Supper.
- acknowledge that we cannot perform these tasks on our own, but only through the grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
